Many communities and states require
an educational sanction for individuals
who violate “Minor in Possession” drinking
laws.
Research clearly
shows that traditional alcohol education
has little impact
on changing behavior. Knowledge-based
programs that incorporate lectures
and film rank last in terms of effectiveness.
Studies also indicate that low-risk
first offenders are vulnerable to peer
pressure when attending one of these
classes.
Students are not the only ones who benefit from 3rd Millennium Classes. Courts using our programs realize the following benefits:
- Reduces administration workload, warrants, and re-scheduling due to class overcrowding or cancellation
- Automatic notification of course completion
- Validation: The student must enter personal responses when completing the course. Incorrect answers to security checks can result in loss of grades or nullification of completion
- Violators have no excuses for non-compliance
