Alcohol-Wise JV is an online alcohol education course for teens 17 and younger. This course is offered by courts as an education sanction for underage drinking violations (Minor in Possession).
Alcohol-Wise JV can be completed at home reducing the unnecessary risk of teens socializing together in an alcohol education class.
Shorter alcohol interventions that provide feedback, emphasize personal responsibility, and offer several options for changing behavior can be much more effective than longer knowledge “only” classes.
3rd Millennium online programs feature these crucial elements:
- 7 lesson, 3 hour online alcohol education program
- Age recommendation for teens 17 and younger
- Sanction for Minor in Possession (MIP)
- The student begins the course by completing a knowledge-based pre-test and a confidential self-assessment that was created by our partners at San Diego State University.
- Audio narration, background music, appealing graphics, and challenging interactions engage the student in the subject matter.
- The student must receive a passing test score on the Final Exam to receive a Certificate of Completion.
- The court can receive immediate notification of completion, simplifying case management.
